10 Cheap Muscle Building Meals - Grow Big Muscle The Cheap Man's Way

You have to "eat to grow". You probably have heard this before. All those hours in the gym and you get home and can't afford to eat much, so you crack open a box of mac and cheese. You just wasted all that time in the gym by eating food that isn't going to do anything for muscle growth.

You have to eat to grow, but you have to eat the right things. And if you have to do this cheaply, then so be it. Here are 10 cheap muscle building meals.

Tuna and Rice. This is a classic and almost every broke bodybuilder has been on the tuna and rice diet.
Eggs and Potatoes. Potatoes can be cheap and a carton of eggs can provide you with 2 or 3 meals.
Quarter pound of lean ground beef and pasta. Go to the deli section and order up a quarter pound of beef. It should only cost you a buck or so, and this is for the 80% lean.
Egg omelette. This is where you take your 4-6 eggs and make an omelette by combining whatever else you have available. Onions, vegetables, and cheese for example.
Tuna and Pasta. While not everyone is into combining tuna and pasta, the usual tuna and rice can get old. Pasta's cheap, so give it a try.
Whole cooked chicken. Sometimes you can find these very cheap, 5 dollars and under, and they can last you 2-3 meals. Buy a loaf of decent whole grain bread for a few dollars and you can make chicken sandwiches.
Beef and Macaroni. Okay, we blasted mac and cheese before, but this was because there was no main protein source involved! Mac and cheese is cheap, and if you add in your quarter pound deli bought beef then you got yourself a solid calorie dense muscle building meal.
Protein powder and Oatmeal. Some guys will take their protein powder and combine it with some cheap oatmeal. You can also add a big dab of peanut butter in the mix to add more calories.
Chicken breasts and rice/pasta/potatoes. You can get bulk chicken breasts for cheap, grill them up and combine them with either rice, potatoes, or pasta.
Chicken wings. A favorite bulking food for many bodybuilders are chicken wings. These can be bought relatively cheaply and usually in bulk. They can last you a couple of meals as well.

One thing I left out are home made, and cheaply made, protein bars. These are absolutely ideal for getting in your protein conveniently, and like I said, they are cheap to make. Check out the videos on how to make them on the bottom of this website - http://www.SizeGirth.com/muscle-foods.html
